The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.THE ROLEReporting to the Mining Superintendent, the Graduate Mining Engineer will assist the Deflector Technical Services team in delivering detailed Drill and blast designs, mine designs, and schedules and assist in ongoing projects. Gain practical experience to qualify for the First-Class WA Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. THE ROLE

  • Actively participating in planning and production meetings
  • Performing regular underground inspections
  • Assisting in the preparation of the weekly and monthly mining schedules

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role, the following is essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering with up to 2 years’ experience in an Underground Mining Engineering position.
  • Understanding of statutory requirements of the WA Mining Act and Regulations together with the WHS Act.
  • Pro-active approach and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Hold a C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite, with exposure to Deswick or Datamine an advantage (but not essential).
